PUBLIC SURVEY ABOUT MANAGEMENT OF COOPERS ROCK STATE FOREST
(Conducted by the Coopers Rock Foundation, Inc.--Public Response Period: 90 days, from May 3rd to July 31st.)
To: All citizens concerned about the future of Coopers Rock State Forest.
The Coopers Rock Foundation is conducting a public survey of those interested in Coopers Rock State Forest, and we want your input.
Who are we? The Coopers Rock Foundation was established in 1989 to receive contributions on behalf of the Forest, to provide financial assistance for state approved projects not funded by the state, and to organize educational and community service projects oriented toward Coopers Rock State Forest. The Foundation's members are people who care about the future of Coopers Rock State Forest. The Board conveys the needs of the Forest and creates an awareness of issues concerning the Forest to the community.
We are also interested in long-term management planning for Coopers Rock State Forest (CRSF). One of the state agencies that manages CRSF will soon propose a management plan for CRSF and we would like your input to help us provide public input into management plans for CRSF.
This survey pertains ONLY to the South Side of Coopers Rock State Forest, between I-68 and the Cheat River, and "the annex" on Quarry Run Road (with Camp Rhododendron). It does NOT apply to the University Forest, north of I-68; or to Chestnut Ridge Regional Park, north of the University Forest; or to Snake Hill Wildlife Management Area, south of the Cheat River.
You can help! Distribute copies of this survey at a busy public place, hand it out to members of an organization to which you belong, or place it in a newsletter. Help us get this survey into the hands of everyone who is interested in Coopers Rock State Forest.
