Middle Fork Trail Work, Cranberry Wilderness

Hi folks,

I’m going to cut to the chase here… next weekend (July 11th and 12th) we will be doing some trail work on the Middle Fork trail in the Cranberry Wilderness. This has been described by many a hiker as one of the most scenic trails in West Virginia. Those who will be traveling some distance may want to consider camping overnight in the Wilderness area. Please meet at the North-South trailhead on the Highland Scenic Highway (just north of the Big Spruce scenic overlook) at 10:00am for both days. Dress appropriately, bring water and lunch, and be prepared for the weather. If the weather is severe, we will not risk being out. However, if there is only a light rain we will still work. But let us hope for nice weather. All tools will be provided. We should finish up around 3 or 4 in the afternoon. If you need directions or if you have any other questions/concerns send me an e-mail and I will get back with you.

(Also, Friday, July 10th there will be a jam session at Summit Lake Campground, starting at 8pm.)

Thanks, and I hope to see you out there!
